QUEENS IS NO MANNY LAND: METS NOT PURSUING FREE AGENT RAMIREZ, BUT ARE CHASING LOWE AND OHMAN

Dan Graziano of the Newark Star-Ledger reported last night that the Mets, despite lobbying by General Manager Omar Minaya, will not be players for free agent outfielder Manny Ramriez. However, another report on mlbtraderumors.com says the Mets are one of many teams expected to bid for the services of lefty reliever Will Ohman, the former Atlanta Brave and Chicago Cub. Makes sense, as the Mets are now down to just one left-handed reliever, Pedro Feliciano.
Ohman is an eight-year veteran, who last year faced the Mets in 11 games, giving up four earned runs on eight hits.
Meanwhile, the link to the Graziano story is here: nj.com
