Sports Illustrated reporter Jon Heyman is reporting that superstar free agent first-baseman Mark Teixeira has agreed in principle to an eight-year, $180M contract with the New York Yankees.

With this signing, pending Teixeira's passing a phsyical, the Yankees have now landed three premier free agents, including starting pitchers C.C. Sabathia and A.J. Burnett.
